About College

The Bannari Amman Institution of Technology (BIT) is Autonomous, self- financing Engineering college & approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to the Anna university, Chennai. It was founded by the Bannari Amman groups in 1996 and serves as one of the citadels of higher education. In India’s southern region BIT aids in the dissemination of knowledge, team work, invention, entrepreneurship, courage, sacrifice and duty, all of which are the vital aspects of a meaningful life. BIT has introduced academic reforms aimed at instilling scientific temper, efficiency, integrity and values among students which transforms them into responsible citizens, valued employees, entrepreneurs and successful academicians. The institution also encourages teachers to be role models for their students by emphasizing teaching, accountability, morals and values. BIT has put importance to ensure that the needs of all kinds of students are met completely.


About Department

The department of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in 1996. It offers a four-year Undergraduate Programme of Bachelor of Engineering as well as a 2-year Post Graduate Programme of Master of Engineering in Power Electronics and Drives. Under the supervision of the faculty of Electrical Engineering, the department also provides a PhD/MS by research programme.

B.E Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme is accredited by NBA New Delhi 6-Years in Tier –I Washington accord.

The department boasted a prominent staff team with 14 doctorates and 27 post graduates,21 of whom have registered for PhD in various fields of Electrical Engineering and have a rich industry, research and teaching experience. The department library comprises 1200 books, featuring 550 relevant titles and has foreign / Indian journals and publications subscription.


About Conference

International Conference on Energy Power Integrated Circuits and Systems (EPICS) is to be held at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam, Erode, Tamil Nadu, India, on 22-23 September 2021. EPICS is the premier interdisciplinary platform which will deliver the latest developments and innovative research results in electrical sciences for all professionals, researchers and engineers from all over the world.

This conference aims to foster interaction in the area of Energy, Power, Integrated Circuits and systems and its applications among scientists in both academia and industry. The conference includes keynote address and invited talks by eminent speakers and presentations by participants. This conference provides engineers and academia an opportunity to share their experiences in recent development, current practices and future trends in power and energy. This event will provide a unique platform for discussing issues and developments in electrical power, power electronics, energy and its associated engineering fields. “EPICS” also provides the global platform a networking opportunity for establishing international relationships,widen professional contact and create new opportunities.

Also it provides a perfect environment for the participants to upgrade their knowledge in power and energy engineering to discuss the ways to disseminate the awareness of the latest developments and advances in the field of Electrical Engineering and Technology.
